About This Organization

The Zero Hunger Challenge was launched by UN Secretary-General Ban Kimoon in 2012. It reflects five elements from within the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which taken together, can end hunger, eliminate all
forms of malnutrition, and build inclusive and sustainable food systems. The five elements will deliver across the full set of Sustainable Development Goals. The Global Movement for Zero Hunger invites everyone to work together towards a shared vision. The Challenge offers a platform to accelerate global action, bringing together all stakeholders to communicate the importance of food security, nutrition and inclusive, sustainable and resilient agriculture to deliver on the promise of the SDGs. It encourages, engages and amplifies partnership and collective action to create food systems that will help us to nourish our people, nurture our planet, grow prosperity, and harvest peace.
