SPROUT NOLA (Sustainable Produce Reaching Our Urban Table) is community garden and urban agriculture organization that uses gardening as a tool for healthy food access and community health, and is a platform for building community and food sovereignty. We work with organizational partners and community members to support their platforms and establish an intersectional network of solidarity work to build power in our communities for food, social, and economic justice. We offer programs where individuals and families can learn to grow food for themselves on-site and take away fresh seasonal produce in exchange for their volunteer service, garden classes for kids, adults, and families, field trips for school children, a free weeklong summer camp for neighborhood children, and a weekly on-site farmers market that offers locally grown produce and functions as a low-barrier opportunity for neighborhood entrepreneurs to sell their products.
