About This Organization

1469836_753724544641580_115039785_nSierra Harvest is celebrating 10 years of educating, inspiring, and connecting Nevada County’s families to fresh, local, seasonal foods. They accomplish this by offering farm-to-school programming, supporting farm fresh school meals, mentoring aspiring farmers and gardeners, celebrating their local food community, and advocating for just, sustainable food systems. Sierra Harvest’s Farm-to-School program is currently in 22 Nevada County schools and reaches over 7,000 students. The Food Love Farm is an educational farm that hosts experiential field trips, service projects, U-pick, and community work days.
