About This Organization

1509314_872880952733083_1289916382160897977_nRutgers Against Hunger (RAH) is a university-wide initiative that strives to increase food security across the state of New Jersey. RAH promotes education, activism, and service as solutions to the growing issue of food insecurity, and conducts research to better understand and alleviate hunger. A cooperation between Rutgers University students, faculty, staff, and alumni, RAH integrates university resources to raise food, funds, and awareness; to date, RAH has raised over $306,00 and 280,000 pounds of food for community members in need.

    The James Beard Foundation, Food Tank, and Valrhona, along with a prestigious advisory group of food system experts, developed the “Good Food Org Guide.”
