About This Organization

10338466_752573894773473_8308069650818646405_oRenewing the Countryside fosters vibrant, sustainable rural places, working lands, and local foods for communities, farmers, educators, activists and others who want to strengthen rural landscapes and eliminate poverty. With our innovative spirit we have a wide range of programs, including farm transitions support and training for new farmers, farm-to-institution networking and technical assistance, agritourism guides, and consumer education at the Minnesota State Fair’s Eco Experience. We work on creative finance through our Slow Money Minnesota network partnership and the Grow A Farmer loan program, and collaborate with other FEAST Local Food Network partners to produce the Feast! Local Foods Marketplace tradeshow and festival.
