About This Organization

ReFED is a collaboration of over 50 private, nonprofit, and public-sector leaders committed to reducing food waste in the United States. In 2016, ReFED published A Roadmap to Reduce U.S. Food Waste by 20 Percent (refed.com/roadmap), the most comprehensive analysis of U.S. food waste and solutions conducted to date. ReFED now works with food businesses, foundations, investors, innovators, and policymakers to implement food waste solutions at scale, putting us on the path to achieving the USDA/EPA goal of halving food waste by 2030. ReFED envisions a future where combatting food waste is a core driver of business profits, job creation, hunger relief, and environmental protection.
