About This Organization

ldx21g779v4d63pybxxm_400x400Practical Farmers strengthens farms and communities through farmer-led investigation and information-sharing. In 2016, Practical Farmers provided 144 opportunities for farmers to educate each other and the public. Successes include the 5,400-plus attendees who came to these events, which ranged from field days and member socials to workshops and conferences; the 900-plus attendees at its annual conference; 107 on-farm research projects conducted by farmer-members to help answer their specific farming questions; and a total of more than 53,000 people who viewed its farminars (webinars) since these online learning opportunities were first launched.
