About This Organization

Minnesota Food Association (MFA) builds a sustainable and equitable food system based on social, economic and environmental justice through training, education and partnerships. MFA operates Big River Farms, a 150-acre Certified Organic incubator farm and Food Hub that provides access to land, resources and markets for beginning farmers from historically under served communities. In addition to their extensive on-farm training and support for farmers, MFA offers educational opportunities about sustainable agriculture for the broader community and is the host of the annual Immigrant and Minority Farmers Conference. The IMFC is held in St. Paul, MN and is the largest conference of its kind.
