About This Organization

The Midwest Organic and Sustainable Education Service (MOSES) is a nonprofit that educates, empowers, and advises farmers to encourage their success in sustainable, organic production. The flagship event, the MOSES Organic Farming Conference, is the country’s largest educational event on organic agriculture. It takes place every February in La Crosse, Wis. Skill-boosting for beginning farmers happens through the MOSES Conference, New Farmer U, mentorships, and Fearless Farm Finances trainings. Women farmers find support through the Rural Women’s Project and its “In Her Boots” workshops and podcast. Trained specialists answer farmers’ questions through the Organic Answer Line: 715-778-5775 and mosesorganic.org/ask.
