About This Organization

10154322_622873421135599_2452534919393278018_nThe Maine Food Strategy supports a stronger and more integrated food system by focusing and coordinating stakeholder efforts that increase access to healthy food for all; support sustainable resource use; encourage economic development that benefits communities; and build public awareness of the value of Maine food production. A network initiative, the Maine Food Strategy facilitates multi-sector planning committees and work groups, coordinates events that build relationships across the food system, and works to promote a better understanding of issues and opportunities.
