About This Organization

994670_474138079364221_59336615_nLocal Sprout is an hydroponic farm located in San Antonio working to increase access to healthy food for all people, reduce the environmental impact of food production, and teach people about a better food system. They’re working with a nonprofit called VentureLab to teach kids about agricultural entrepreneurship with a focus on new technology. They also work with the San Antonio Food Bank as both a produce donation source and an educational outreach group. In places like San Antonio’s Eastside, where good food is hard to come by, they are working with local organizations to build gardens and teach about food self-sufficiency.
