About This Organization

249297_229516790397107_1725850_nSalad Bars to Schools (SB2S) was founded in 2010 by the Chef Ann Foundation, National Fruit and Vegetable Alliance, United Fresh Start Foundation, and Whole Foods Market in support of Former First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! Initiative. Their goal is for every school in the United States to have a salad bar as part of their school food service program, so that every child has daily access to fresh fruits and vegetables. To date the program has donated salad bars to over 5,000 schools, reaching over 2.5 million children in all 50 states.
