La Cocina businesses open successful brick & mortars at a rate that far exceeds the national average, cultivated by their innovative program and sustained by a strong fan base. In 2017, La Cocina clients generated $13 Million in revenue and created 150 jobs. La Cocina is a 501c3 non profit whose mission is to cultivate low income food entrepreneurs as they formalize and grow their businesses by providing affordable commercial kitchen space, industry-specific technical assistance, and access to market opportunities. They focus primarily on women from communities of color and immigrant communities. Their vision is that entrepreneurs gain financial security by doing what they love to do, creating an innovative, vibrant and inclusive economic landscape.
