About This Organization

13782030_1648076272174325_4914202724822661377_n1 in 5 fruits and veggies grown in the U.S. don’t meet the strict cosmetic standards of grocery stores, usually causing them to go to waste. Imperfect Produce works directly with farmers to find a home for this “ugly” produce, through a subscription produce delivery service in the Bay Area, Los Angeles, and Orange County. Since this produce looks different compared to what one would find in a grocery store, their prices are 30-50 percent less. Customers save money, eat healthier, support local farmers, and fight food waste. Their customers keep over 100,000 pounds of produce from going to waste every week. To date, Imperfect Produce has diverted over 4 million pounds of produce from going to waste.
