About This Organization

202185_10151159851392509_384705404_oGeorge Washington University’s Office of Sustainability is devoted to promoting sustainability initiatives and collaborating with stakeholders. The office conducts research, collaborates with the sustainability academic program, and engages students in sustainability issues by bringing global leaders to conferences and symposia. The Food Working Group is a partnership between various University groups and has introduced sustainable practices to the campus, including introducing compostable plateware, hosting Meatless Mondays, and highlighting local produce in campus facilities.
