About This Organization

576581_558934034179150_228993435_nFood Recovery Network (FRN) is a national nonprofit that unites students at colleges and universities to fight food waste and hunger by recovering perishable food that would otherwise go to waste from their campus dining halls and surrounding food businesses and donating it to those in need. FRN currently has 229 chapters in 44 states and the District of Columbia and has recovered more than 2 million pounds of food that otherwise would have gone to waste since 2011. By 2019 FRN aims to be on 350 college campuses across the country and recover one million pounds of food year over year. Be sure to get your school on the map!
