Using underserved schools as a platform, FoodFight arms teachers, staff, students and parents with the knowledge they need to make more informed choices about food and the food system. FoodFight offers a standards-aligned, food literacy curriculum that moves beyond traditional Nutrition 101 to address questions of food politics, the impact of branding and advertising on food choices, and critical social justice, environmental and health concerns connected to our diet. Their unique Teacher Wellness Workshop works to inspire educators and staff to consider their own health and wellness needs and provides them with the tools to serve as agents of change to champion food education initiatives within their learning communities.
