About This Organization

10347808_504411046329735_5741735394767806852_nFirst Peoples Worldwide is an Indigenous-led organization that focuses on funding local development projects in Indigenous communities all over the world. The organization facilitates the use of traditional Indigenous knowledge in solving today’s challenges to climate change, food security, medicine, governance, and sustainable development. This includes the grant making program Keepers of the Earth, the engagement of corporations that allow Indigenous communities to retain control of their assets, and a field project in Botswana which is building the capacity of San organizations to exercise their human and land rights.
