About This Organization

1471974_10152602341091529_4646945276860700991_nFirst Nations works to improve economic conditions for Native Americans
through technical assistance and training, advocacy and policy, and
direct financial grants in the five key areas of achieving Native financial
empowerment, investing in Native youth, strengthening Native nonprofits,
Native American business and asset development and nourishing Native foods and health. Since 2002, First Nations has awarded 216 grants totaling more than US$5.6 million to Native American organizations dedicated to increasing food access and improving the health and nutrition of Native children and families.
