About This Organization

Crossroads Resource Center’s primary focus is to support civic engagement by performing solid economic analysis of local farm and food economies. We accomplish this by assessing the realistic economic potential of localizing food supply networks, and work with community partners to write and implement effective business and strategic plans.CRC has worked with more than 129 regions in 39 states,. We wrote a $9.85-million local-foods investment plan for the state of South Carolina, analyzed commercial food networks in Indiana, and developed plans for both the State of Hawaii and Metro Nashville focused on low-income food access. We also collaborated with USDA AMS to produce an Economic Impacts Toolkit.
