The Center’s broad range of impact includes the Life Lab’s Garden Classroom for elementary school children, training new organic farmers, educating undergraduate students on sustainable agriculture techniques and issues, hosting research on organic pest and disease control methods, working on ways to minimize water use, and promoting purchases of sustainable food for campuses throughout the UC system and beyond. Their newly revised publications, Teaching Organic Farming and Gardening: Resources for Instructors, and Teaching Direct Marketing and Small Farm Viability: Resources for Instructors, are available at cost in print and free online.
