About This Organization

The California Alliance of Farmers’ Markets is a statewide coalition of farmers’ market groups, working together to support farmers’ markets for the benefit of farmers, customers, and local economies. The Alliance supports vibrant and transparent relationships between producers, market managers, and communities. Through education, advocacy, and promotion the Alliance works to ensure a robust economy for California’s Certified Farmers’ Markets. Led by a 13-member steering committee, key focus areas include access and equity, policy and advocacy, marketing and consumer education, professional development, and integrity. The Alliance is hosted by the Ecology Center, which serves as a fiscal agent, and staffs the Steering Committee Chair.
