About This Organization

The Alabama Sustainable Agriculture Network (ASAN) is a network of farmers, consumers, and agriculture-related organizations, all committed to promoting sustainable agriculture in Alabama. ASAN’s mission is to support conservation practices, families who grow and consume natural food and fiber, and the communities where they live. ASAN hosts an annual Food & Farm Forum (or Regional Forums), publishes a quarterly newsletter, maintains a comprehensive events calendar, and in various other ways provides connectivity and a platform for shared resources, for Alabama’s growing local and sustainable food movement.
